Nicholas “Nick” Fasciana Obituary, Scranton, PA, Senior business development representative at Transcend has died

Nicholas J. Fasciana, a vibrant young man whose life was marked by ambition, warmth, and a deep love for family and community, tragically passed away unexpectedly on July 23, 2025, at the age of 28. His sudden departure left a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but also served as a reminder of the impact one individual can have in such a short span of time.
Born on July 19, 1997, in West Palm Beach, Florida, Nick was the son of Joseph F. and Charleen (Nicholas) Fasciana of Dunmore. From an early age, he demonstrated a keen intellect and a drive to succeed. His academic journey began at Scranton Preparatory School, where he laid the foundation for his future pursuits. Eager to expand his horizons, Nick attended the University of Miami, a renowned institution where he excelled academically, earning a triple major in business technology, marketing, and management. During his college years, he also seized the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy, immersing himself in a new culture and broadening his worldview.
Following his undergraduate studies, Nick pursued his MBA at the University of Scranton, further honing his business acumen. His professional career blossomed quickly; he started at Device42, a burgeoning software start-up, where he proved his talent in sales development. His dedication and natural ability led to his promotion as sales development manager, setting the stage for his next role. Currently, he was thriving as a senior business development representative at Transcend, where he demonstrated his passion and skill in sales, helping to drive the company’s growth.
Outside of his professional life, Nick was a person of many interests. He cherished spending time with family and friends, often listening to hip-hop from the 2010s, watching comedy podcasts, and indulging in his hobbies. He enjoyed playing video games, cycling around his neighborhood, and visiting the horse track, where he found joy in the thrill of racing. Nick also had a special connection to his family’s heritage through Nicholas Pizza, a fourth-generation pizza business in Scranton, where he enjoyed helping out on the side.
Nick’s warm personality extended beyond his family and friends. He was loved by many, including his beloved dog Pepito and his partner Alivis “Ali” Santana of Miami. He is also survived by his aunt Linda Nicholas of New York, NY, and several extended family members who cherished his memory.
His life was celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial on August 1, 2025, at St. Paul’s Church in Scranton, where family, friends, and community members gathered to honor his memory. The service was led by Msgr. Neil J. Van Loon, and interment followed at Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton. In accordance with his family’s wishes, donations in Nick’s memory were directed to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, reflecting his love for animals and compassion for all living creatures.
Nick’s passing is a poignant reminder of the transient nature of life and the importance of cherishing every moment with loved ones. His legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched and the enduring love of his family, friends, and community.
