
Peggy Ann Bridges, a beloved member of the Lake Ozark community, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025, in Raymore, Missouri, at the age of 75. Her life was marked by love, faith, community involvement, and a deep dedication to her family and friends.

Born on May 15, 1950, Peggy was the daughter of John Hadley Rich and Margaret Dale (McEntire) Rich. She grew up alongside her older sister, Susan, and their cousin Paulette. The three childhood friends spent their formative years exploring Jefferson City, creating memories filled with family, music, and laughter. Peggy’s father’s love of music was a significant influence in her life, and the melodies and rhythms of her childhood remained a cherished part of her identity.
On December 20, 1970, Peggy married her high school sweetheart, Lewis Z. Bridges, Jr. Their union lasted over five decades, and their marriage was a testament to enduring love and companionship. Together, Peggy and Lewis built a life centered around their faith, family, and community. They eventually settled in Lake Ozark, Missouri, where Peggy became a successful businesswoman, known for her dedication and kindness.
Beyond her business endeavors, Peggy was deeply committed to her faith and service. She dedicated many years as the children’s choir director at Lake Ozark Christian Church, where she worked alongside her close friend Betty. Her leadership and nurturing spirit inspired countless children and families in the congregation, fostering a sense of community and spiritual growth. Peggy’s warm personality and unwavering faith made her a beloved figure within the church and the broader community.
Peggy is survived by her beloved husband, Lewis Z. Bridges, Jr., and their three children: Matthew (Heather) Bridges of Loch Lloyd, Missouri; Ryan (Jessica) Bridges of Lake Ozark, Missouri; and Stephanie (Michael) Kulas of Mexico, Missouri. She was a proud grandmother to Emma, Caleb, and Madeleine Bridges; Elanor and Nicholas Bridges; and Penelope, Theodore, Matilda, and Arthur Kulas. Her grandchildren brought immense joy to her life, and she cherished every moment with them.
Preceding her in death were her parents, John and Margaret Rich; her sister, Susan McClain; and her brother-in-law, Joseph McClain. Their memories remain a source of comfort for her family, who now mourn her passing but also celebrate her life and legacy.
In honor of Peggy’s life, memorial contributions can be made to Lake Ozark Christian Church, an institution she loved and served faithfully. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Lake Ozark Christian Church. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by the service at noon. The gathering will provide an opportunity for loved ones to share stories, offer condolences, and honor her enduring impact.
