With heavy hearts and fond remembrance, we honor the life of George Ridyard, a beloved friend, colleague, and cherished member of the Cicero and Lyons communities. George passed away in July 2025, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, loyalty, and unforgettable memories.

From growing up on 23rd Street in Cicero to sharing good times at Ricky D’s in Lyons, George was known for his vibrant spirit and the genuine connections he built with everyone around him. Whether sporting a ponytail or a clean cut, George’s presence was always a welcome one. He was the kind of friend who made life feel lighter and more joyful.

Professionally, George served as Director of Aerial Construction, where his leadership and dedication earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike. But it was his personal warmth, his sense of humor, and his unwavering support that truly defined him.

A Friend’s Tribute
“Say hello to Sue, Vinny, Geno, Pete, and our other friends who were taken way too soon. I’ll never forget Kevin and Sue’s wedding at CC’s Grove when you pulled up and told me to hop on back, dress and all, and away we rode! You were always a good one to know, and I’m blessed to have had you as a friend.”

George’s memory will live on in every story shared, every laugh remembered, and every heart he touched. His passing is deeply felt, but his spirit remains woven into the lives of those who loved him.

Rest easy, George. You were deeply loved, and your legacy will continue to shine.
