Isabelle Vaillancourt Quebec Obituary, BLD Publications Mourns loss of a beloved general manager

It is with sadness that we announce that Isabelle Vaillancourt, editor and general manager of BLD Publications, passed away on Sunday, July 27th, as a result of a long illness. Holder of a master’s degree in physical engineering (2001) and winner of the Jury Prize of the Fernand-Seguin Scholarship, Isabelle joined BLD Publications in 2004 as editor-in-chief of the Débrouillards.
She has been assistant editor, then editor, and general manager for eight years.
Very attached to her team and the mission of scientific education of the Débrouillards, Isabelle has multiplied the projects and innovations. Under his innovative and dynamic leadership, BLD Publications has reached 900,000 magazines sold annually, in addition to winning many awards, including that of Magazine of the Year (2012) for Les Débrouillards.
His departure so early is a great loss for the scientific communication and the world of Quebec magazines.
