Born on March 21, 2010, in Watertown, Averi was the cherished youngest child of Jeff and Lindsay Reidburn. She was preparing to begin her freshman year at Clark High School and was eagerly looking forward to everything that lay ahead. Though her time was brief, Averi lived with a brightness and a passion that touched everyone around her. She was a born entertainer, a fierce advocate for the things she loved, and a loyal, loving daughter, sister, cousin, and friend.
Averi embraced the world in vivid color. She was a proud girly girl, never far from her favorite Starbucks drink, a fresh set of nails, or the next great TikTok idea. She had a gift for music—curating the perfect playlists for car rides—and was known for blasting her favorite tunes from the backseat. Whether she was tubing on the lake, going on camping adventures, enjoying bonfires with friends, or just curled up next to her mom with her beloved blankie, Averi filled every moment with joy. She loved hard, laughed loud, and never held back from being exactly who she was.
Those who knew her will never forget her clever sense of humor, her ability to make PowerPoint presentations to sway her parents (which always worked), or her deep, genuine capacity to make people feel seen and included. Averi was magnetic—beautiful inside and out—and she lived every second with unfiltered joy and fearless love.
She is survived by her loving parents, Jeff and Lindsay Reidburn; her siblings Justus (Kelly), Brooke, and Emma; maternal grandparents Cindy Finkbeiner and Jay Dee (Lesa Leamons) Finkbeiner; maternal great-grandmother Bev Finkbeiner; paternal grandparents Lon (Teresa) Reidburn; aunts and uncles Brooke (Clay) Kistler and Jarvis (Alissa) Reidburn; and her cousins Hannah, Hudson, Hayse, Lincoln, Lydia, Tayt, and Henley. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Deb Reidburn; paternal great-grandparents Harold and Hazel Reidburn, Lyman and Nadine Wookey; maternal great-grandparents Lester and Clara Finkbeiner, Wesley and Lenora Robish; and her aunt and uncle Joie Ann Reidburn-Steffen and Bob Steffen.
To celebrate Averi’s beautiful life and bright personality, attendees of her service are encouraged to wear pink or purple—her favorite colors. Though gone far too soon, Averi’s spirit lives on in every heart she touched and in every smile she inspired. She will be missed beyond measure and remembered forever.
